Wellness Journey

I’m never going to be a fitness trainer. I probably won’t grace the cover of Women’s Health. But, what I will do, is continue to show up for myself every single day.

I’m so unbelievably proud of the progress I’ve made in the two years that I’ve been on this fitness journey. I started at 208 pounds – the heaviest I’ve ever been. My goal was a pair of pants. I wanted to look “decent” in pictures. Everything changed when I found a love of fitness. Every goal I thought mattered and every fear I let define me fell by the waste side. I found this faith in myself and I’ve never looked back.

This move is called the “lightning bolt.” It’s difficult, but I didn’t let it win. Notice that subtle head shake after my first try. My internal dialogue was like, “nope. Keep trying.” And I did.
